Ingredients
8 oz spaghetti or linguine
4 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
¼ cup grated Parmesan (optional)
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
½ cup reserved pasta water
Instructions
Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
In a skillet, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat.
Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
Add pasta and toss to coat.
Stir in reserved pasta water, a little at a time.
Season with salt, pepper, Parmesan, and parsley if using.
Serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
Add red pepper flakes for heat or grilled chicken for protein.
