Description
A warm, cheesy, and hearty casserole that combines all the flavors of a classic bacon cheeseburger with crispy golden tater tots. Perfect for busy weeknights or family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb thick-cut bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 2 tsp minced garlic or ½ tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- 16 oz frozen tater tots
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy. Drain on paper towels and chop into pieces, reserving 1 tbsp bacon grease.
- In the same skillet, cook ground beef until no pink remains. Drain excess fat.
- Add minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce to beef and cook for 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar until melted and creamy.
- Mix in chopped bacon and stir to combine.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared dish. Top with frozen tater tots in a single layer.
- Bake for 40–50 minutes until tots are golden and edges are bubbly. For extra crispiness, broil 1–2 minutes at the end.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, mix in jalapeños, drizzle with BBQ sauce, or add extra cheese. Reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer for best texture.
