Description

A warm, cheesy, and hearty casserole that combines all the flavors of a classic bacon cheeseburger with crispy golden tater tots. Perfect for busy weeknights or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb thick-cut bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 2 tsp minced garlic or ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 16 oz frozen tater tots

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy. Drain on paper towels and chop into pieces, reserving 1 tbsp bacon grease.
  3. In the same skillet, cook ground beef until no pink remains. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce to beef and cook for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Stir in softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar until melted and creamy.
  6. Mix in chopped bacon and stir to combine.
  7. Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared dish. Top with frozen tater tots in a single layer.
  8. Bake for 40–50 minutes until tots are golden and edges are bubbly. For extra crispiness, broil 1–2 minutes at the end.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, mix in jalapeños, drizzle with BBQ sauce, or add extra cheese. Reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer for best texture.
